The film earned critical acclaim, including multiple Czech Lion awards for Best Cinematography, Best Set Design, and Best Costumes. Girl America also received the Czech Film Critics’ Award for Best Film and the Audiovisual Achievement Award for production and costume design by Jan Kadlec.
